AVENTINE HILL

Rome's quiet elegance

Escape the chaos of Rome by exploring one of its seven hills: the Aventine. This is the hill where the patrician families of ancient Rome once lived. Although it’s very close to the city’s historic center, it offers an almost surreal sense of peace, thanks to its primarily residential character.

Your beautiful walk on the Aventine Hill will begin at the Rose Garden, home to over 1,300 different varieties of roses and the site of an annual contest in May to crown the most beautiful rose in the world.

The stroll continues to the Orange Garden, one of Rome’s most stunning panoramic terraces, where the dome of St. Peter’s can be seen perfectly framed through a natural perspective created by the trees.

The visit will then take you to explore the Aventine’s ancient basilicas, one of which, according to legend, was visited by the devil himself during the Middle Ages — leaving a trace behind.

The tour will end with a stop at a truly magical place, unique in the world, where you can glimpse three independent states all at once… but that’s a secret we’ll reveal during the experience!
